Course Content
This course has been designed to offer participants a basic understanding of first aid, with the emphasis on first aid for infants and children under the age of eight. It covers resuscitation, choking, unconsciousness, bleeding, suspected fracture, shock, burns and scalds, and communicating in an emergency.

Method of Assessment
Written, practical and oral.
Future Prospects
This course enables candidates to act in a supporting role to qualified first aiders and deal with basic first aid for infants and young children.
